Kausalya Nandakumar led the conceptualisation of SmartShift, the first intrapreneurial venture funded by the Mahindra group. She was appointed CEO at the age of 35, becoming the youngest CEO in the federation of Mahindra group. With an MBA in marketing from Narsee Monjee, Kausalya joined the Mahindra group under the prestigious Young Leaders program and has since worked across sectors, functions and geographies, giving her a holistic view of the organization.
Driven with the ambition of bringing about significant efficiencies in the unorganized logistics space, and led by a strong leader with a penchant for creating and executing innovative ideas for the future, Kausalya’s SmartShift is poised towards disrupting cargo movement across the country.
After a successful stint at Mahindra Navistar Automotive Ltd. (as Deputy General Manager) followed by Mahindra EPC Services Ltd. (Controller of Finance) and later by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Head of Finance & Accounts in International Operations ), Pradeep now shoulders the responsibility of CFO at SmartShift. His strengths include building strong financial systems and processes, arranging and managing funds, and a lot more.
Sivaprakash Saripalli, the CTO of SmartShift, has 7 years of experience in software development. Prior to joining SmartShift, Siva has worked both in established businesses like Adobe's Flash Player and in start-up businesses like Microsoft's Azure Site Recovery. During his last stint, Siva co-founded Racoon.in, an e-commerce start-up.
Siva has an MBA in Marketing & Finance from IIM Calcutta and B.Tech in Computer science from IIT Madras.
The highlight of his 11-year career was institutionalizing a robust succession and talent management process which helped close about 95% of leadership positions through internal talent. He develops and implements strategies, and drives HR initiatives to realize bottom line results. The secret of his tuning with people? The Electronics Engineer with an MBA (HR) and an interest in singing is not telling us. But we do know that music can move mountains.
